What is the Internet of Things?

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a popular trend in a twentieth first century but the concepts of it was took up as early as 1982. According to Peter T. Lewis (1985),

"The Internet of Things, or IoT, is the integration of people, processes and technology with connectable devices and sensors to enable remote monitoring, status, manipulation, and evaluation of trends of such devices."

It has provided convenience to the users. Undoubtedly, the Internet of Things performance and usefulness has dramatically improved along these years. It has become a part of basic needs in some people’s life.

However, most people still don’t know or understand the Internet of Things, what it is and how it works. We, as Computer Science students, want people or whoever are interested in this technology, have a better understanding of the Internet of Things. Moreover, we also analyze future trend and how it will affect humanity in the future.
